Where to start

Welcome to our Year of the Book!

Together, we are going to conquer whatever gets in our way, and on Labor Day 2013, we are going to sit back with our umbrella drink and toast our successful book completion.

This project is a group effort by folks living in the York, PA area, but there is no reason that friends and family members from around the globe can’t participate right alongside.

Our first group meeting is scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 8 at 10:30am at Paul Smith Library of Southern York County, 80 Constitution Ave, Shrewsbury, PA 17327.

At this meeting, I will share an overview of the process, as well as information on a Kickstarter campaign that we will be using to get the word out and raise some funds and book pre-sales to motivate us to finish our works.

Along the way, with your help, we’ll create a forum where we can share inspiration, web sites, pages from our drafts, get feedback from others (flamers will NOT be tolerated), and move ourselves from concept to published page.

I won’t kid you.  This is going to take a lot of work.  But we can do it together.  We are each other’s best cheerleaders.  I need you as much as you need me.

What I can guarantee for you is that when you complete your publication by Labor Day 2013, you will be featured in several Book Talks, Author Visits, and Book Signing events that will be held around York County, PA.  You will be part of our online publicity as well.  In fact, you will be in the limelight of any media that our project generates.  I’m not guaranteeing Oprah, but who knows where this can take us?

Let’s make this OUR Year of the Book!
